Hi, I'm Kat. In 2018 I swapped as an air traffic controller for living full-time in a motorhome and exploring the UK & Europe. Sounds idyllic, but two months in I got bored. So I started a little blog- Wandering Bird. It's now the UK's largest motorhoming and road trip website.

I've driven over 90,000 miles and have been all over Europe, including driving a motorhome from the UK to Iceland and all the way to the top of Nordkapp. Much of that has been solo (with my spaniel Mac).

I love helping people gain the knowledge and confidence to have their own epic adventures and I'm especially passionate about helping women travel solo with confidence. I've written numerous books and guides for motorhoming and road trips, and also run the Wandering Motorhome Club, which hosts group trips, monthly workshops and Q&A sessions. (I also love to tour places on my motorbike and I also run non-moorhoming adventure trips to incredible places such as Antarctica, Svalbard and Patagonia!)
