Jason Nicholas (The INKspired Life)
Architecture & Urban Sketcher. Creativity Coach.
Description
Jason is an architect, artist, and high school teacher who teaches architecture and CAD. Jason has always been passionate about exploring his creativity and mindfulness through sketching architecture, urban sketching and product design. Growing up Jason was inspired by Bob Ross, Jim Henson, Mr. Rogers, Frank Lloyd Wright, Leonardo da Vinci and Walt Disney. Jason's sketches and artwork are inspired and driven by the built world around us whether it is a rural country barn, an attraction at Disney World or the skyscraper of New York City. Jason's subject area is anything architectural—whether it be the energy of a cityscape or simple quirkiness of a worn coastal shack. His sketches are both of real and imaginary buildings and settings. For him, loose style architectural sketching is about letting his soul drip out through the ink in his pen and ingraining a special moment in the sketchbook of his mind. He started teaching high school (architecture and CAD) about five years ago and loves being able to serve with his architecture/design knowledge on another level. He makes it a point to know his students as individuals and not just as a number in a grade book. Jason has illustrated three children's books. He teaches architectural sketching and creative mindset on youtube and facebook. Jason's goal is to be a creative mentor and inspire artists along their journeys.
