Stanley Tang

I’m Stanley Tang, cofounder of DoorDash and head of DoorDash Labs, our robotics and automation group. I focus on the future of last-mile logistics—where autonomy, software, and operations meet.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, I moved to Stanford for CS, where a scrappy campus experiment (paloaltodelivery.com) turned into DoorDash. I’ve spent my career turning unscalable hacks into systems that work at scale.

These days I’m exploring autonomous delivery across form factors while keeping the builder’s mindset alive: prototype, learn, then automate.
