Sonia Poltoratski

I'm Sonia, tech lead in perception AI at Zoox, where I work on how self-driving cars understand the spatial world around them.

Before industry I did my PhD at Vanderbilt and spent a decade in cognitive neuroscience studying how the brain recognizes faces. My postdoc work at Stanford solved a 50-year puzzle about why we can't recognize upside-down faces.
