My work began when I struggled with my first peer‑review assignments during my PhD, which pushed me to investigate how professors learn peer review and how groups handle collaborative learning. I now examine expert review practices, evaluate training programs, and seek ways to help novice scholars become stronger reviewers.

I often tell newcomers that reading a paper carefully and asking clear, meaningful questions is a solid way to start a review.
