Precursor Ventures

Precursor Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm built around one simple belief: all entrepreneurs regardless of background deserve an institutional partner who believes in them from day one. We invest early, often before there’s a product, traction, or even a full team.

We focus on investing up to $500,000 in Pre-Seed and Seed rounds of $4 million or less. While we’re comfortable leading rounds of $1 million or less, we don’t need to lead to participate. What matters to us is being a meaningful partner early one that helps you get from zero to one, not just one to ten.

Geographically, we invest primarily in companies headquartered in North America specifically the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. We do make one exception to that rule: fintech. There are spaces we typically avoid, such as biotech and life sciences. We simply don’t have the deep technical background needed to responsibly underwrite these opportunities.
