Matt Mullenweg​

I'm Matt Mullenweg. Born and raised in Houston, I co-founded WordPress at 19, moved to San Francisco at 20, left college, and founded Automattic a year later to build commercial services around open source. Today we're 1,400 people in 90 countries behind WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Tumblr, Beeper, and more, with a mission to democratize publishing, commerce, and messaging. I've long believed accessible tools and thoughtful hiring create impact that lasts.

Outside of work, I'm into jazz and photography (Photomatt everywhere) and do some angel investing through Audrey Capital.
