Nathaniel Oliver

I'm Nathaniel, a Data Science grad student at UCSD. I graduated with a B.S. in Math and Economics, then went straight into my master's. Currently I'm a Data Science Intern at IDX Exchange, building real estate pricing models using stacked XGBoost and LightGBM.

Before that I was a research assistant in UCSD's Economics Department working on statistical inference for cohabitation and real estate topics. I moved from inference work into predictive modeling because I wanted to see if I could build models that actually predict housing prices across different market conditions.
