About
I do design and engineering at Delphi. Before this, I founded leaked and worked as a software engineer and product designer at Aleo. I started building early, doing product design while still at UC Berkeley, where I also led design for Blockchain at Berkeley. Ask me about product design, building at early-stage startups, and the overlap between design and engineering.
Chapters
I joined to work on the core product, and one of the best parts is: you can just do things.
I work on profile, chat, train mode, and the internal developer platform. The thing that stuck with me early: no permission loops, you just build.
I built a way for artists to text fans unreleased music, because drops deserved to feel like a real leak.
Artists could send audio over iMessage, fans subscribed to exclusive lists. The whole thing lived in your texts, no app download, no feed algorithm.
I shared my SSN over email to rent my first apartment and thought: there has to be a better way.
That experience, plus watching my dad's green card get lost in the mail and delay our citizenship for years, made Aleo's mission feel personal. Privacy as a default, not a feature.
Artists keep 12 cents of every dollar they earn on average, and I couldn't stop thinking about that number.
I went down a rabbit hole on NFTs and ownership in music, got backed by Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator and BitDAO, and tried to build a platform where artists owned their catalog and fans could invest in it.
