Master Mingtong Gu, a globally renowned master teacher, is the founder of the Wisdom Healing Qigong (WHQ) and The Chi Center (SWS). Born in China, his journey of healing and discovery led him to master the ancient art of Qigong, becoming a uniting between the mystical traditions of the East and the practical needs of the West. As a child growing up in China during the Cultural Revolution, Master Gu endured hunger, poverty, and a long separation from his birth family. Despite these incredible hardships, he became the first from his village to attend college, earning four Master's degrees in Mathematics and Fine Arts. As a graduate student in art, he discovered the treasures of his own culture including Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism and eventually led him to Qigong. In 1997, he returned to China for training under Dr. Pang Ming, a Qigong Grandmaster trained in Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, and the founder of the world’s largest Qigong hospital. Through practice, he recovered from his own chronic asthma, scoliosis and back pain. During his training, he observed thousands of cases of recovery from chronic and “incurable” diseases at this “medicine-less” hospital, which had treated over 200,000 patients with over 185 different illnesses, with a 95 percent effective improvement rate. Master Gu has taught WHQ to tens of thousands of people in the West through his online and in-person training programs, including “Qigong for Life Mastery.” With a radiant spirit of joy and a profound sense of compassion, he guides his students to unlock their healing capabilities, transform personal challenges into opportunities for growth, and embrace their highest potential and pure essence.
