I'm Mia, CEO of the National Institute for Play and granddaughter of its founder, Dr. Stuart Brown. I consult for the University of Denver’s Office of the Chancellor to weave play and character development into the student experience. I've spoken globally at places like Aspen Ideas and the World Expo in Osaka, sharing how play builds character, fosters learning, and sparks innovation.
Before this, I was an NCAA D1 assistant coach for Denver's gymnastics team and a captain as a student-athlete. I earned a master's in public policy and a bachelor's in business information and analytics. My career path is deeply tied to carrying forward my grandfather's legacy in play science and its practical uses.
