I'm Matthew, an executive recruiter at Daversa Partners. I place VP and C-level product and engineering leaders at early-stage, VC-backed startups from Seed through Series C. I work in a retained model, partnering with founders, boards, and investors to define roles, map markets, and close searches for VP Engineering, CTO, VP Product, and CPO roles.

I look for leaders who can build teams, raise the technical bar, and scale without losing speed. I grew up in Mill Valley, studied Economics and Spanish at University of Denver, and moved to San Francisco in 2021 to start recruiting.
