I am the Roy L. Furman Professor of Law and Leadership at Harvard Law School. Before returning to Harvard, I taught at Stanford Law School, founding the Center for Internet and Society, and also taught at the University of Chicago. I clerked for Judge Richard Posner and Justice Antonin Scalia.
I founded Equal Citizens and helped start Creative Commons. My work has been recognized by awards like the Webby and Fastcase 50. I used to focus on law and technology but now I study "institutional corruption," especially its impact on democracy. I've written several books on these topics, and I hold degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Cambridge, and Yale.
