Julie Zhuo

I'm Julie, former VP of Product Design at Facebook and co‑founder of Sundial. I grew up in Shanghai, moved to the U.S. as a child, studied computer science at Stanford and joined Facebook as an intern when the company was still a few dozen people. After more than a decade there I wrote The Making of a Manager and now run a data‑focused startup while publishing a newsletter. I love writing, people, nuance and systems, and I use writing as a way to think through what I’m learning.
