John Baird

John Baird has coached CEOs and founders in Silicon Valley for more than 25 years, at Apple, Nike, and eBay, and at fast-growing startups like Masterclass, DoorDash, and Remitly. He counts his work at Apple during the early development of the iPhone among the most meaningful of his career.

He is the author of Leading with Heart: Five Conversations That Unlock Creativity, Purpose, and Results, a Wall Street Journal bestseller, and Tough Enough: How to Lead a Team to Greatness Without Being a Jerk. He holds a PhD in Organizational Communication and Leadership from Purdue, spent 17 years on the business faculty at San Jose State, where he was named Outstanding Professor of the University, and now serves there as Faculty in Residence.
