John K. Coyle

I'm John, an international keynote speaker on design thinking, innovation and time, and an Olympic silver medalist in short track speedskating from the 1994 Lillehammer Games.

I studied product design and engineering at Stanford, earned an MBA at Kellogg, ran an 80-person innovation team at U.S. Cellular, and won an Emmy as a producer and analyst on NBC's Olympic coverage. I made the Olympics by designing around my weaknesses instead of fixing them, and that idea became my books, Design for Strengths and The Art of Really Living. Now I mostly study chronoception: why time speeds up as we age, and how to slow it down.
