Jibran Ilyas

I'm Jibran, Director at Google Cloud (Mandiant). I bring two decades of experience in Information Security, focusing on incident response, digital forensics, and cyber threat intelligence. I've investigated some of the world's largest breaches across financial, healthcare, retail, technology, and defense sectors, and in 2008 published a whitepaper on memory dumping malware linked to retail industry breaches that Visa Inc. referenced in a security alert.

I speak on topics like computer forensics and cybercrime at global conferences such as DEFCON, Black Hat, and RSA, and I’m an adjunct professor at Northwestern University where I developed the curriculum for their Digital Forensics and Incident Response course. In 2013, I took a sabbatical to help Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf during their general elections and have since led various social media initiatives for the party.
