Hey there, my name is Rabbi Jen Gubitz. I founded Modern JewISH Couples, where I help couples build their lives together with the support of Jewish wisdom, sans guilt.
I was ordained by Hebrew Union College in 2012 and have a certificate in family therapy from Therapy Training Boston. I wrote my rabbinic thesis on death education for children which sounds... depressing, but is actually about ways to have difficult conversations that no one really wants to talk about.
I take spirituality and Judaism seriously but not too seriously. A regular shipment of cold brew powers my days because I'm a writer, a toddler mom, and endured a verryyy long fertility journey. Also, I'm an Indiana Hoosier.
Ask me about interfaith relationships, Jewish life and spirituality, family therapy, and death education for children. Ask me about grief and joy and how they seem to walk hand in hand. I am not a therapist, but can be a spiritual guide for folks who are searching for ways to connect meaningfully to Judaism.
