I'm Soroush, a software engineer focused on distributed systems and backend infrastructure. I work with Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, and really like niche languages & ecosystems like Elixir.

I tend to describe myself as someone interested in abstract thinking in all aspects of life. I build side projects to automate things, most have failed, but I have a goldfish memory so I don't mind ;) Before grad school I was a software engineer at Balad in my home country, where we essentially built and scaled a maps & navigation app (similar to google maps) for millions of active users.
