Do you know what death is considered a failure by some? I'm David Kessler. I'm a grief and loss specialist and a bereaved parent. Shockingly, when I was working on my last book, I wanted to make sure I have a chapter on miscarriage, and I looked it up in the dictionary, and it— one of the definitions was a failure. Can you imagine that? The reality is, A miscarriage is not a failure. And so many people blame themselves or think that something's gone wrong. And the reality is miscarriages just happen. And it's so important that they get as much support as anyone else. It's a type of disenfranchised grief that we almost just want to move off of it. You can have another baby. You just keep trying. And yet you were expecting. You were planning for this child. You were decorating for this child. The connection was in your heart. So the next time you hear someone had a miscarriage, give them lots and lots of support. Let me know what you think and follow for more.
