I'm Eric, a mechanical and civil designer who spent 15 years helping Southern Company complete its first new nuclear power plant in 30 years at Plant Vogtle in Augusta. I was the only designer on site for the new construction, overseeing projects across electrical, mechanical, and civil systems. Now I consult as a government contractor at Savannah River Site, modernizing legacy electrical designs.
I started as an auxiliary equipment technician in the Navy, maintaining steam and electrical systems on the USS Saipan.
Ask me about nuclear plant design, configuration management, working across engineering disciplines, and how I got into this field.
