Daniel McDonald

Daniel McDonald, MPA, is a 29-year law enforcement veteran who founded the Tampa Police Department Homeless Initiative, helping hundreds move from the streets into stable housing, with a 48% drop in homelessness in three years.

Now retired, Daniel consults with communities and agencies on humane responses to homelessness, and founded the TPD Crisis Intervention Team for mental health crisis calls. Ask him about homeless outreach, crisis intervention, or police reform.
