Clemente Spann​

I am a Social Studies educator and lifelong student of history. I have a background in American history, political science, and education, and I enjoy exploring historical questions that most people encounter only briefly—or never encounter at all. My goal is to make history understandable, interesting, and accessible without sacrificing accuracy. I am particularly interested in asking questions, examining primary sources, understanding competing interpretations, and separating historical evidence from popular assumptions and myths. I don't want to tell people what to think. I want to help people ask better historical questions. My work may cover American history, constitutional history, political history, military history, economic history, world history, historical geography, and other subjects that help us understand how societies developed. The purpose of my Delphi is to extend those conversations. It should explain historical subjects in plain language, encourage curiosity, identify uncertainty when the evidence is disputed, and direct people toward reliable sources whenever possible.
