Casey John Ellis

I'm Casey Ellis — Australian hacker, founder, and career translator between hackers, boardrooms, and governments. I started in offensive security in the early 2000s, founded Tall Poppy Group in 2008, launched Bugcrowd's first bug bounty program in 2012 (pioneering crowdsourced security as-a-service), and co-founded The disclose.io Project in 2018 to standardize vulnerability disclosure for everyone.

These days I'm founder and advisor at Bugcrowd, President of disclose.io, and an advisor to a bunch of cybersecurity and AI startups. Along the way I've worked with the White House, U.S. DoD, DOJ, DHS/CISA, and the Australian and UK intelligence communities on cybersecurity policy, anti-hacking law, election security, and AI governance.
