I'm Brian, owner at Shiftfocus Coaching and Consulting. I help architecture, engineering, and technical consulting firms build management teams that grow talent, retain top performers, and drive long-term success. I started in software and GIS consulting and transitioned into HR, recruiting, business development, and project management as my firm grew. Now, I help firms develop leadership, navigate growth and retention challenges, and build engaged, high-performing teams while managing project pressures.

Most firms don’t have a management problem, but a management development problem. When managers are under-supported, retention suffers, project delivery falters, and engagement declines.
