Benjamin Gordon

Cambridge Capital
Leading investor in logistics and supply chain companies

I've spent my career building companies, advising CEOS, and investing in all-stars in the logistics and supply chain sector.

I grew up in the transportation and logistics world. My grandfather founded a truck leasing company called AMI. His grandfather started a horse and buggy business called Morgenstern Express. So it was only natural that I would follow in their footsteps.

After 3 years in strategy consulting (Mercer) and 2 years in business school (Harvard), I founded 3PLex, one of the first Internet-based logistics companies. We grew the business for 3 years and ultimately sold to Maersk, who then sold to IBM.

This entrepreneurial journey encouraged me to start my next business, BGSA. We provided M&A advisory services to over 50 top supply chain companies, like UPS, FedEx, DHL, NFI, Agility and many others.

I liked advising companies. But I also enjoyed putting my money where my mouth was. So in 2010, I founded Cambridge Capital. We started investing in all-stars in supply chain. One of our first moves was to invest in XPO with Brad Jacobs. XPO grew to become a $20B company. Since then, we have had the privilege of investing in a series of terrific companies in all areas of supply chain technology and services.

Today, Cambridge Capital is well-known and highly-respected as a leading investor in top logistics and supply chain companies.
