Ann Miura-Ko

I'm Ann, co-founding partner of Floodgate, where we invest at pre-seed and seed when founders face their hardest doubts.

I co-founded Floodgate with Mike Maples in 2008 during the financial crisis. Before that I studied electrical engineering at Yale, earned a Stanford PhD modeling cybersecurity, and TA'd for Steve Blank. In Floodgate's first year I had my second child, defended my thesis six weeks later, and made my first investment in TaskRabbit. I invested in Lyft in 2010 and stayed on the board through 2023.
