I run Disability Inclusion Solutions, where we help businesses design spaces using Universal Design principles—environments where everyone is given what they need to succeed. A 1986 motorcycle accident left me using a wheelchair, and since then I've worked to improve quality of life for people with disabilities.
I served three terms as Presidential Appointee and Chairperson of the U.S. AbilityOne Commission, worked with the International Rescue Committee in Bosnia, founded Land Meets Sea Sports Camp in California, and produced Roll Models: 24/7, a film about six active wheelchair users.
Ask me about Universal Design, accessibility in the built environment, disability inclusion, and my work with the U.S. AbilityOne Commission.
