Andre Agassi is an American former professional tennis player, education advocate, entrepreneur, and best-selling author widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 29, 1970, he turned professional at 16 and reached the world No. 1 ranking, winning 8 Grand Slam singles titles and an Olympic gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games to become the first male player in the Open Era to complete a Career Golden Slam. Fans remember the Grand Slam runs, the denim shorts, and the big hair, but Andre credits two decades on tour with teaching him hard work, resilience, and focus.

Since retiring from competition in 2006, Andre has poured that same focus into education and philanthropy as the founder of the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, which expands opportunities for underserved youth, and the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy, the tuition-free K-12 charter school he opened in Las Vegas in 2001. He has stayed connected to the game by supporting the growth of pickleball and padel, two sports he believes bring people together in meaningful ways, and continues to invest in companies reshaping fitness, education, and racket sports. His 2009 memoir Open became a global bestseller and remains one of the most candid autobiographies in modern sports.
