Sarah Blankenship

I'm Sarah, Child Care Program Specialist at the OPRE. My background is in neuroscience and cognitive science — I studied how early childhood experiences shape brain development, specifically the hippocampus and its role in memory and stress.

I did my graduate work at the University of Maryland, where my dissertation followed children longitudinally to examine how parenting and stress reactivity affect hippocampal development.
